Weeks 1-3: Foundations of Floral Design
Three 3 hour sessions
Start with the essentials of floral design and build a strong foundation.
- Basic round (Williamsburg) arrangements
- One-sided (triangular) arrangements
- Traditional vs contemporary styles
- introduction to floral retailing and customer interaction
These are the core designs used in every floral business – and you’ll learn how to create them with conficence.
Weeks 4-6: Funeral Arrangements & Professional Sensitivity
Three 3 hour sessions
Learn both the technical and human side of floral work.
- Casket sprays, baskets and specialty pieces (including bleeding hearts)
- Creating respectful, meaningful arrangements
- Working with grieving families and funeral directors
This is where design meets real-world responsibility.
Weeks 7-8: Wedding Floral Design
Two 3 hour sessions
Master the most in-demand and profitable floral work
- Cascade, nosegay, crescent, and mini-cascade bouquets
- Church and event floral arrangements
- Understanding color, texture, and composition
You’ll learn how to create elegant, professional wedding pieces clients will love.
